New AIM Hallmarks Publication – Preparing To Prosper

Over the past three years, AIM has worked with museums and heritage organisations across the UK to put the ideas in the AIM Hallmarks framework into practice.

Distilling the very best ideas from museums that have used the AIM Hallmarks, a new publication called ‘Preparing to Prosper’ with case studies, tips and tools to inspire fresh thinking at your organisation is now available to download for free from the AIM website.

Funded by Arts Council England, the AIM Hallmarks capture the range of factors that help museums to prosper and the new publication includes new insights and questions to help museum staff, trustees and volunteers think about the way they work.

“Preparing to Prosper crystallises all the learning from AIM’s Hallmarks programmes to date in an easy to read and engaging format. The publication shows museums and heritage organisations how they can tackle challenges around every area of their operation in an informed, practical and creative way,” said Emma Chaplin, Director of AIM.

The publication can be downloaded in PDF format for easy sharing and AIM has also launched a series of new online case studies which explain how different museums have used each of the AIM Hallmarks successfully.

Helen Wilkinson, Assistant Director of AIM said: “The new AIM Preparing to Prosper publication has something for every heritage organisation thinking about their future development. Museums can use it for self-assessment, as a conversation starter, to find out about inspiring examples from other museums – or just for some quick tips. And over the next few weeks, we’ll be adding more resources to sit alongside it on the AIM website, to share more insights from the Hallmarks programme and events – watch this space.”
